π Room & Party Sign-Ups Are Coming! π
Tonight at 5:00 PM, the school will text out the sign-up for Room Coordinators, Party Coordinators & Party Volunteers! π
We know lots of you are excited to jump in and grab a spot (we love the enthusiasm ππΊ), and we want to make sure every family has a fair chance to participate.
Before the sign-up goes live, please take a quick minute to read the information below so everyone knows how the sign-up will work and what to expect. This will also be on the sign-up.
Thank you for helping us keep things fair, organized, and fun for everyone! ππ
Sign-Up Rules:
Each FAMILY may sign up for one position per each child enrolled. On August 24th, all remaining spots will be opened up to all legal guardians.
Room Coordinator (RC)
As a Room Coordinator (RC), you'll serve as the communication link between the PTO and your assigned classroom by forwarding approved information about classroom events and activities. Throughout the school year, you'll help coordinate the Red Bag Project, Teacher Appreciation Week, teacher holiday and birthday gifts from the class, and attend three classroom parties (Fall, Winter, and Valentine's Day) to assist as needed. The Room Coordinator may also occasionally share a class parent email list for non-school purposes, such as birthday party invitations. More detailed information will be sent out to the Room Coordinators after August 24th.
NOTE: You can only sign up for 1 RC position. If you sign up for a RC position, you cannot sign up for any additional positions.
Party Coordinator (PC)
As a Party Coordinator, you'll organize and help lead the classroom parties by planning approximately 20 minutes of age-appropriate games or activities and coordinating with the Room Coordinator and other volunteers. You'll also collect contributions from classroom families to purchase supplies, prizes, and other party materials. Party Coordinators ensure all school guidelines are followed and submit party plans for approval by required deadlines. More detailed information will be sent out to the Party Coordinators after August 24th.
NOTE: You can only sign up for 1 PC position. If you sign up for a PC position, you cannot sign up for any additional positions.
Party Volunteers
The 2 volunteers assist the party planner and teacher during the parties and must be present for the party. Class party dates are:
Fall- October 30th, 3:15-3:45PM
Winter- December 18th, 11:30-12:00PM
Valentines- February 4th, 3:15-3:45PM
NOTE: If you sign up for a party volunteer position, please do not sign up yourself or a family member for a PC or RC position. All remaining party volunteer positions can be filled after August 24th.
---
On August 24th, the signup genius will be open to the whole school to sign up for as many times as they would like. This keeps it as fair as possible and allows multiple families the chance to be involved in a class party.
NOTE: To ensure as many families as possible have the opportunity to participate, volunteers may sign up for only one primary role. If you sign up as a Room Coordinator (RC) or Party Planner (PC), you may not sign up for any additional volunteer positions. If you sign up as a Party Volunteer, you may only volunteer for one classroom during each holiday party (Fall, Winter, or Valentine's Day).
Classroom Funding
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we ask that parents do not collect money for teacher gifts at the beginning of the year. While we truly appreciate everyone's generosity, classroom rosters, teachers, and school policies can change throughout the year, making it difficult to manage funds collected too far in advance. Instead, contributions for teacher gifts should be requested closer to each occasion. Contributions for classroom party supplies will be requested by the Party Coo prior to the first classroom party of the school year.
