Coach Alan Tinsley has been named the 22-23 National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) Louisiana Boys’ Basketball Coach of the Year. This is arguably the most prestigious basketball coaching award given to any coach in Louisiana! The NFHS in conjunction with the LHSAA, picks only one boys and one girls Coach, regardless of classification, to win the award each year. This is the first time since 2017 that a Coach at a Rapides Parish School has received this award and we are blessed that he is part of our NHS Gator Family!!!

Congratulations, Coach Tinsley, your Gator Family is proud of you!❤️💙🐊🏆

Mr. Welch, Ms. Cyndi, Mrs. Coleman, Mr. White, Mr. Kirklin, Ms. Meyers, & Mrs. Williamson, some of our former gators, are loving the retired life! One of our current gators, Mrs. Edwards, and Mrs. Welch joined them. They all got together for lunch today.

Homecoming 2023 is tonight. Kickoff at 7 pm and crowning of the NHS Homecoming queen will be at halftime. $10 admission and all Rapides Parish schools have a clear bag policy!

The NHS cheerleaders will be selling clear stadium bags. They are 12×12x6. The price is 10.00. If you would like to to order one, please let Mrs. White or a cheerleader know. They will be ready for pickup on Thursday, September 28, 2023. ❤️💙🐊

These bags will be needed for all RPSB athletic events, including playoffs.
