Kendall Franks has been training, competing, and representing ETL Jiu Jitsu for more than half her life.

In the 7-8 years I’ve had her, there has never been a single moment I have ever had to coach her attitude, or her effort. She has always been a phenomenal representative of what we are striving to be as a team.

Every student, boy or girl, man or woman, should pay close attention to how this young lady conducts herself at all times on and off the mats.

Great work Kendall! Congratulations on another gold medal performance yesterday.

I’m irritated that I have to make this post.

I (Coach Mike) have a 0 tolerance policy for ANY disrespectful behavior from athletes, parents, family members, coaches etc in the academy, at events, or anywhere really.

It has been brought to my attention today that one of our teenage athletes displayed some disrespectful behavior at an event while representing my team. He will be suspended immediately (30 days). I refuse to let anyone tarnish the reputation of my school I have spent 10+ years building.

ETL and OCA, your local one stop shop for Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, boxing, and mixed martial arts training. Head Coaches of both programs have 20+ years of competitive and coaching experience each.

Most of our athletes simply train for fun, to get in shape and to learn a new skill. You do NOT have to have goals of being a competitive athlete in our program. However, you can train like a competitive athlete every day you are on our mats. That is up to you. Grab a friend, and come by and check us out.

Congratulations to Tristen Scott on earning the rank of Jiu Jitsu green belt tonight. As you can see, (I had hair and no stripes 😂)Tristen has been in Jiu Jitsu for about 10 years!

Green belt (in my opinion) is the absolute toughest belt in all of Jiu Jitsu to earn. There are definitely more black belts around than green belts. I couldn’t be prouder to be his coach all of these years. We’ve been through many wins, many losses, and when he was younger… MANY HEADACHES 😂.

We’re all proud of you Tristen! Keep up the hard work!

Morning kids classes starting tomorrow at 10am!

Beginning Monday, June 8th we will offer a morning combined age group kids class.

The class will run Monday/Wednesday 10-11am. There is no additional fee for ETL members.

We will still run our current schedule all summer long as well. Nothing will change with that.

$20 drop in fee for non-members. DM here or text 559-816-9919 for our summer time pricing for non-members.

🚨Jiu Jitsu referral program 🚨

At least 90% of our new students come in to try class because they were referred by a current student.

As a thank you, moving forward, we will be taking off $25 your membership for the following month if a person you refer signs up. This will apply for EACH person that signs up.

Example: if you refer 2 people in June and they sign up. Your July fee will be discounted $50 for that month.

We will add a “referred by” line on our waiver as well.

This applies to students 6 years old and above. 3,4,5 year olds are already training at a heavily discounted rate.

This will start today 6/1/26.

Proud of all our kids and adults that competed this weekend. Everyone represented our team values well. Our athletes showed humility in both victory and defeat.

Pictured here is Jenesis Morgan, she went undefeated this weekend in both Gi and No Gi. She is 9 years old and performs fearlessly under pressure like a seasoned adult competitor. I’m always glad to have a front row seat. 🥰

I love going down to tournaments in the LA area, the Mecca of CA Jiu Jitsu. Where on every corner there is an academy ran by world champion black belt instructors. Our athletes have shown time and time again, they belong on the mats with anyone from anywhere at any level. That makes me so proud 🙏🙌
