We received this request about classmate Steve Perry. We're posting it for your information:
"I contacted this group hoping that the members would be kind enough to support this effort as a group or as individuals. With the first campaign, I'm trying to get Mr. Perry nominated for the Kennedy Center Honors (KCH) next year. We are asking everyone to send in nominations to KCH on his behalf. There is a specific link that is used to make the submissions and I will include it at the end.
"The second campaign involves his song, "Running Alone" from his first solo album, "Street Talk". It is a beautiful and very inspirational song that has touched the lives of many, but it never got the recognition it deserved. I'm trying to get it noticed and trending. I'm asking everyone to call their local radio stations and request that they play the song and put it on their regular, daily rotation. I'm also asking everyone to use the hashtag, on all their social media sites.
"We ask everyone to spread the word to others about this campaign so that we can get more and more people to nominate Mr. Perry for KCH, request "Running Alone" and use the hashtag .
