We wear red on Fridays! Today was our first red Friday and wow did San Miguel show up!

This year, we are Connected & Climbing. We are prioritizing connections with each other, with our school community, with our goals and with our learning. Coming together as a whole school community and connecting by wearing red is such an important part of this goal. All year long we’ll be talking about ways we work on these connections and relationships. So San Miguel - how were you connected today? ❤️

Tomorrow is the first day of school! We can’t wait to welcome back our Stallions! We are especially excited to have everyone meet our new Assistant Principal, Mr. Brian Kennedy. Make sure to say hi tomorrow morning when you see him! Take a look at his bio to learn more about him.

All families are welcome to walk their child on to campus and into class tomorrow. We ask that when the bell rings at 8:00am, you begin making your way to the front of the school so that our students can start their day.

It’s hot so, if possible, send your child to school with a water bottle in their backpack! That’s all they need - we’ll take care of the rest!!

One week until the first day of school - Time to get ready!

-Start moving bedtime and wake-up time closer to our schedule. Remember we start at 8:00am.
-Practice your morning routine before the first day.
-Label jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles.
-Make sure your child knows how they will get home each day.
-Celebrate the start of a new school year with encouragement and excitement.

We can’t wait to welcome your family back to school! A little preparation this week can help your child start the year feeling confident, calm, and ready to learn!!

We had the best last day today at San Miguel!

We started off with an amazing BMX show hosted by - these guys are amazing!!

Then our 6th graders challenged all of our staff members in our annual rock paper scissors tournament!

We ended the day with our annual slime a staff member celebration where 2 of our leaders, Vicky and Journee, got to celebrate their accomplishments by sliming Ms Murphy!

What an amazing way to end the 2025–2026 school year. We hope that you have a great summer leaders and practice habit #7, sharpen the saw. We will see you in August!

Wow Wednesday!

This year San Miguel and the Lemon Grove School District has a concentrated focus on Conscious Discipline, a comprehensive, brain-based social-emotional learning and classroom management program that prioritizes self-regulation. Our leaders and staff engaged in a powerful day of learning that involved classroom visits, campus walks, conversations and several staff meetings. We look forward to deepening our learning together in support of our leaders, our staff and entire school community!

Every Wednesday we will highlight another incredible part of what makes San Miguel such a special place. Looking forward to sharing with you! ❤️
