Greetings LHS CLASS of 1979!

While we didn’t have a great turnout for the 45-reunion, those of us that were there had a wonderful time reconnecting. We had a social on Friday evening, on Saturday enjoyed a bus tour to a few Winery’s and Breweries in Hill City, Rapid City and back to Spearfish. Saturday night the Dabus took us to Deadwood for a great evening. It was a fantastic weekend that went by way too fast! Huge thanks to Bruce Hintz for making arrangements with Holiday Inn and Dabus!

Those in attendance during the weekend included Bruce Hintz, Carter Schnell, Dave Bell, Julie Christman Scott, Todd Texley, Rocky Miller Holzer, Don Zent, Phyllis Dalzell Erfman, Kelly Becht Wrede, Edie Krebs Mattern, Gloria Schopp Petersen, Evonne Madsen Hawe, Kevin Holgard, Dennis Biederstedt & Mike Hoffman(making an appearance in Deadwood) along with a few spouses and friends.

We talked of tentative plans for the 50-year reunion in 2029 to be held the weekend of Boss Cowman in Lemmon – so everyone, stay healthy and we hope to see you all then!

Hello Class!

If you could please let us know ASAP if you will be attending the reunion that would be great. We are trying to get headcounts for Friday night appetizers and Saturday night bus to Deadwood.

Also, if you and/or spouse are interested in Saturday Wine/Brewery Bus through the hills please let me know that as well.

Boys and Girls,

Next Tuesday they release our rooms to the general public. You'll still be able to get our group rate after Tuesday but they may sell out of rooms, the motel is filling up. Only 10 rooms have been reserved, there's 26 rooms still available.

Hopefully there'll be some last minute reservations made this weekend.

Greetings Class of 1979! Looking forward to 45 Year Class Reunion!

Bruce has 35 rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn, Spearfish for June 28th & 29th under Lemmon Class Reunion of 79. Rates are $169/night for standard rooms (2 queens, 1 king), $199/night for 2BR Suite, and pool side rooms available for $30 up charge. Rooms can be canceled 1 day prior to arrival. All rooms will be released 1 month prior to our reunion. Holiday Inn phone numbers are 605-642-4683 & 800-999-3541.

Bruce has reserved a social room for Friday evening. Cash bar and we'll get some appetizers ordered. Nothing fancy. I'll contact Da Bus shuttle and arrangements for a ride to Deadwood Saturday evening (Supper will be on your own, we are trying to keep it simple and enjoy good company).

Nothing is planned for Saturday afternoon so everyone can do their own thing. If there's a group that wants a winery/brewery tour of the southern hills, Da Bus might be available for that. He stated he's filling up with reservations for 2024 so making reservations sooner than later would be better (hopefully they still have availability) - Let Edie know if you are interested in Winery/Brewery Tour. So far Julie Scott, Linda Hammand, Elizabeth Ho**er are a yes.

it saddens me to tell you all that we have lost another classmate, been informed that Jim Woodard passed away, I do not really have any details on how or why.

Thank you for the Incredible turnout for this awesome 40th Class Reunion. Lot's of new memories made and old ones relived. Huge thank you to Jeff and Carla for Hosting, everyone that contributed food for supper (I can't remember all that did but very much appreciated), Linda for getting the ball rolling, Gloria, Pam & Connie for bringing candy for the parade. Brad for his '79 Truck and driving us through the parade. I believe a wonderful time was had by all! PLEASE SHARE YOUR PHOTOS!! We truly missed all that couldn't be with us.
