Leelanau Children's Center A Community-based Preschool in Leland, Michigan following their mission: to nurture and empower young children and families. Thank you!

Young children and families from all backgrounds and needs flourish at the Leelanau Children's Center, in an environment that nurtures relationships and developmentally appropriate, play-based learning. Our goal is not to teach children facts and figures, but to capitalize on their innate curiosity and zest for life. Only in early childhood do we have the opportunity to develop the thinking skills

and social/emotional readiness that set the stage for a fulfilling and productive life. Donations of support for Leelanau Children's Center make enriching programming and scholarships for children possible for more families in our community.

Our hearts are so full! 🌱 Leelanau Grown 🌱 was a beautiful reminder of what this community can do when it comes together, and as we begin our 50th year, that felt more meaningful than ever. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us, gave generously, and believes in the vital role early childhood education plays in Leelanau's future. CONGRATULATIONS to a very special member of the LCC family - our amazing high school intern, Adalee!

Over the past year, Adalee Ramirez spent many hours with us, bringing her kindness, enthusiasm, and love for children into our classrooms. Whether she was helping with activities, joining children in play, or lending a hand wherever needed, she became a valued part of our community. 💚

What makes this story even more special is that Adalee is an LCC alum herself! Watching her return to the Center where her own early learning journey began and seeing her grow into such a capable, caring young woman has been a true joy.

We are so proud to celebrate your graduation, Adalee! Thank you for sharing your time, heart, and talents with us. We have loved having you at LCC and are so excited to see where your next chapter takes you. No matter where life leads, you'll always be part of the LCC family. 💜

From a chilly morning to an impeccable bluebird sky finish - the 29th Annual LCC Golf Scramble was a big win for Leelanau kids and families!

80 golfers hit the course at , some for the 29th year running(!), enjoying incredible baked goods from the sponsored Bake Tent and some serious friendly competition at the 18th hole for a chance to reel in the big one aboard Fishtown's Mariah or Pier Pressure charters.

Then it was on to the After Par-Tee hosted by the legendary The Leland Lodge ndlodge where the camaraderie continued long after the last putt dropped.

Have you heard?! LCC is growing! 🌱 💚 LCC's Invest in Tomorrow Endowment has reached $1 million! That number represents every family we've walked alongside, every child who was nurtured here, and every person in this community who believes in our mission: to nurture and empower young children and families.

As we step into this next chapter, our team is evolving, too. Heidi Kruse will focus entirely on growing our endowment, Jen Reutter steps into the Executive Director role, and Molly Grosvenor continues leading our programs with 30 years of LCC heart and experience.

We're so grateful to do this work, learning and growing alongside you. The best is yet to come.💜
