Gonna miss you, Jonny. 💜

It’s been a hell of a two and a half months having you literally live in the closet 😂. Somewhere between the late nights, early mornings, hard training, and all the chaos, you leveled up, became an even bigger part of the crew, and made a whole lot of memories along the way.

I’m proud of the growth I’ve seen in you, both on and off the mats. You put in the work, embraced the grind, and became an even stronger version of yourself.

Gonna miss having you around, brother. The place definitely won’t be the same without you.

And don’t worry the closet will always be waiting for you. 😆

A big congratulations to our judo coach and anyone who’s ever rolled with Kiernan Shanahan knows exactly how special and how damn difficult those rounds are.

This man is talented in just about every aspect of grappling. His technique, pressure, timing, and ability to adapt are on another level. To hold him back at purple any longer would’ve been a disservice to the work he’s put in and the grappler he’s become.

Congratulations, Kieran, on a well-deserved and hard-earned brown belt. 🤎

Funny how life takes us in all sorts of directions.

Jonny has trained under me and been by my side for almost 8 years. Life has taken him to the outer parts of the world and through things most of us could never understand. There are things we can’t talk about, and burdens he carries from his past, yet through it all, he continued to show up and stick with me through the years.

Words can’t express how much it means to have friends who stick by your side through thick and thin. That kind of loyalty and friendship is something I’ll never take for granted.

Today, I’m honored to promote Jonny to purple belt. We may not always feel ready for what life puts in front of us, but I know that when we’re called to step up to the plate, we will.

Proud of you, Jonny. You’ve earned this. J

Join us every Saturday from 9:00–10:30 AM for our Gi Competition Class(there will be no more open mats). High-level training, hard rounds, and the preparation you need to perform when it matters most.

If you want to compete, improve, and push yourself to the next level, this is where you need to be.

Be there or be square. Open to everyone but don’t late 😤
