Juniors Mia Dewar and Felipe Aguilar-Parker have been selected to participate in the All-Ohio State Fair Band. The band has representatives from all across the state and will perform multiple times each day for the duration of the state fair.

Congratulations Felipe and Mia on your selection, way to represent Viking Naiton.

Athletic News -- Cross Country practice will begin Monday, August 3rd from 3:30 pm -5:30 pm @ the track for any students in grades 7-12.

Leipsic Local School District is in need a regular route driver for the 2026-27 school year! Please share this link so we can reach our next school bus driver.

VOLLEYBALL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

7th Grade: Open Gyms start on Tuesday, July 7th from 7:00-8:00pm and will run every Tuesday and Thursday through July.

8th Grade: Open Gyms and weights will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 7th. Weights will be from 5:30-7:00pm and open gym from 7:00-8:00pm and will run every Tuesday and Thursday through July.

High School: Open Gyms will be 4:00-5:30pm and weights 5:30-7:00pm every Tuesday and Thursday in July.

5th and 6th Grade: player and parent meeting on Monday, July 27th at 7pm in the aux gym.

CONGRATULATIONS to LHS graduate Zac Lammers on receiving an OHSAA Scholar-Athlete Scholarship!

This award recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and service.

Zac's hard work and dedication throughout his high school career have made him deserving of this honor. Zac was ranked 1st in his class, participated in three sports all four years of high school, served as Vice-president of his class, Treasurer of the National Honor Society, Treasurer of the Science club, served as a PBIS House rep for the Pink House, was active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and his church high school youth group, and volunteered for many community outreach opportunities throughout the last four years.

40 scholarships were awarded across the Northwest District and featured scholar athletes from all divisions and all sports. The student athletes were recognized at a banquet this week on the campus of the University of Findlay - Winebrenner Hall.
