This week at preschool money was on all our minds. Students learned about each coin and what they are worth. We talked about what you can buy with money, and even had a pretend store. We also discussed the letter D and what sound it makes as well as how to write it. Ask your child about the “big Santa belly”.

We had the best week focusing on Dinosaurs! We talked about fossils, what it means to be carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. We discussed what a paleontologist does. We read up on a bunch of different dinosaurs and chose our favorites. We ended the week with making our own dinosaurs in a jar. We also had a couple really nice days and got to play outside in our afternoon classes. Here’s to hoping the groundhog is right and it’s an early Spring!!

This week at preschool our theme was “I” is for icicle. We talked about all things Winter. Perfect timing for the massive amount of snow we got this past week. We discussed how the I is a vowel and makes 2 sounds. We were also able to do a fun craft using everyone’s favorite craft supply…GLITTER, and made icicles.

We had such a fun Christmas party this week! We made Christmas trees, played who’s missing?..(Christmas addition).Had a snow ball fight, bean bag toss and played tic tac toe and had a full on dance party! This week we went full on Christmas! We picked items out of a stocking that had to do with the holidays. We discussed how it is the season of giving and each child made their very own pinecone ornament to GIVE to you parents as a Christmas gift. We played a preschool favorite Hide and Hug Olaf where we hide stuffed Olaf in the preschool and the kids get to find him. We learned our letters J and K and talked about other holidays that are celebrated around the world at Christmas time.
