Hello friends!

I am putting together a parent program for my local elementary school which will focus on helping parents find the resources they need for their kids and learning proven strategies to help kids with reading and homework.

If you were to attend an hour long free workshop with this focus, what would you like to learn?

Are there specific things that you feel would be the most beneficial to you and your family?

I would love to be sure I’m meeting parent needs and making this workshop beneficial and worth the time to attend!

Happy Snow Day Utah!

I hope you can use this day to snuggle up and stay warm with a good book!

With Parent Teacher Conferences coming up I wanted to offer my services. If you need help figuring out how to best advocate for your child with their teacher, I can help. Having worn the teacher hat, the mom hat, the mom with a student on an IEP hat, the mom with the student who excels hat, and the tutor hat, I would love to use my experience to help.

I wish all parent-teacher relationships were great and that it was easy to communicate for the benefit of the child, but unfortunately this isn’t always the case. There are ways to make it easier for all parties, and especially for your child!

Please let me know if you any questions either before or after conferences.

Remember, YOU know your child best. Also remember that your child’s teacher truly does want to help and that a good partnership can make all of the difference in your child’s life and education.

Let’s get on the same page, work together, support each other, and most of all support our kids to success!

‘Twas the day after Christmas and all through the house the remnants of Christmas lay scattered about. The kids were running wild, new toys in hand. While mom and dad just tried to remain sane...
