What a week! 🎉 The last day of Career Camp wrapped up an exciting week of exploring, creating, problem solving, and trying something new. From hands-on projects and campus challenges to teamwork, skill building, and plenty of “I did it!” moments, our campers made the most of every day at BCTC.

We loved seeing their curiosity, confidence, and creativity grow throughout the week.

Thank you to our campers for bringing the energy and enthusiasm, and to our staff for helping make Career Camp such a fun experience!

Gold looks good on BCTC! 🥇 Instead of walking across his graduation stage, Owen walked across the national stage at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference and brought home GOLD!

Owen, a Masonry alumnus and Daniel Boone Area School District Class of 2026 graduate, turned an already unforgettable senior year into a gold medal finish.

Congratulations, Owen, on your 1st place win! What a way to close out your BCTC story!

Think you’ve got what it takes? BCTC is seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented Lead Custodian who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, functional, and secure facilities.

This full-time role is responsible for supporting daily building operations and ensuring facilities are properly maintained. Responsibilities include assigning and scheduling work, assisting with problem resolution, supporting grounds maintenance, responding to custodial requests from administration and faculty, completing quality control checks as directed, and helping ensure building work plans are carried out effectively.

That’s a wrap on the 2025-2026 school year! 👏 As the final bell rings at BCTC, 10 of our SkillsUSA competitors are wrapping up their time at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta.

While summer break is kicking off back home, these students are waiting to see if their hard work, skill, and determination will take them to the national awards stage.

They’ve represented BCTC, their sending schools, and Pennsylvania in a BIG way, and we couldn’t be more excited to cheer them on.

⚡ Now Hiring: Electrical Occupations Instructor

BCTC is seeking an Electrical Occupations Instructor to help students build the skills that keep homes, businesses, and industries running.

In this role, you’ll guide students through real-world electrical concepts, including reading circuit diagrams and blueprints, wiring installation, and maintaining residential, commercial, and industrial systems. The ideal candidate brings both industry experience and the ability to create a structured, safety-focused lab environment where students can grow and prepare for what comes next.

Candidates should hold, or be eligible for, Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Electrical Occupations and have a minimum of four years of full-time electrical experience beyond training. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills are essential, along with the ability to deliver engaging, lab-based instruction.

Next stop: NASA! 🚀 With the final day for students happening tomorrow, Computerized Machining Technology is closing things out with a mission complete moment.

The parts for this year’s NASA HUNCH project are finished and being shipped to NASA, where they will be quality tested before moving one step closer to their final destination: the International Space Station.

Through BCTC’s continued work with NASA HUNCH, the project gives students the chance to take their machining skills beyond the classroom and contribute to work with real standards, real purpose, and real impact.
