Enjoy a ribbon cutting ceremony, witness a beautiful butterfly release, and help us kick off a new chapter for pollinator conservation in our community.

As we reflect on 250 Years of Freedom in America, we recognize that the journey to liberty happened in vital chapters.

Today, we observe Juneteenth by commemorating June 19th, 1865, when the promise of emancipation finally reached everyone.

True freedom belongs to all of us, and today we honor the resilience, history, and lasting contributions of the Black community in Leesburg, FL. Happy Juneteenth! 🇺🇸✨

⚾️ Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with the Leesburg Lightning as they take on the DeLand Suns this July 4th at Pat Thomas Stadium!

The first pitch flies at 5:00PM, and the gate opens early so you can catch all the action. After the final out, the ballpark opens up so bring your blankets and chairs right onto the field for the best view in town.

The game is just the centerpiece of a massive Star Spangled Spectacular at Ski Beach Park! 😎

Come out early or stay late to enjoy the rest of the celebration:
🎠 4:00PM - Event begins with FREE carnival rides, FREE carnival games, food trucks, and cold drinks.
🇺🇸 4:30PM - The Leesburg Boat Club Flagpole dedication kicks things off right on Ski Beach!

🗣️Tomorrow at 10:00AM, our community will gather at Veterans Memorial Park to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

While Memorial Day is a time of mourning and remembrance, it is also a time for us to come together in gratitude, reflection, and unity as a community.

The program will feature ceremonial tributes, special guest, and patriotic music by King Guys Band. Complimentary donuts and iced tea, both sweet and unsweet, will also be available.
