So, as you know, I love exploring markets for new foods and delicious ingredients.

I've noticed at some big chain grocery stores that they sell, "Irish Soda Bread". I’ve noticed some big stores tend to use ingredients which are chemicals in their soda bread. I could not even attempt to pronounce all the words on the ingredients label.

I purchased one and tasted it. I found it to be unpleasant and dense. I am sure that I would not purchase Irish Soda Bread from these stores again.

My Irish Soda is made from basic ingredients, Flour, Unsalted Butter, Buttermilk, Black Currants, Caraway Seeds, Baking Soda, and a bit of sugar and salt.

Just wanted to share my experience.

SO, been baking like a fiend. Been inspired to make sourdough this week.

I have added additional Focaccia flavors to this week's menu. There are 4 varieties of Focaccia available for Saturday, February, 17th.

- Traditional - Garlic, Rosemary, Maldon Salt, and Olive OIl.
- Cherry Tomato, Garlic, Rosemary, Maldon Salt, and Olive Oil.

- Sfincione - Sicilian Tomato Pie with Fresh Tomato Puree, Locatelli Cheese, Seasoned Bread Crumbs, and Olive Oil.

What a week!!! I am so happy to hear from my customers about how they enjoyed their King Cakes, Stromboli (+ Triple T Sauce) and decadent brownies.

This Saturday, Febraury 17th, there will be Sicilian Tomato Pie (Sfincione)

Sicilian Tomato Pie is the perfect flavorful soft and airy bread. It can be served as a side for a meal, as a meal in itself, or served for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Sfincione’s meaning isn't completely clear, but the most likely, the answer is that it comes from the word for sponge, a reference to its tall, airy texture. The bottom is crisp with olive oil while the sauce and cheese layer are salty and deeply savory with dry grated Caciocavallo, Parmesan, or Pecorino Romano. It's got a mixture of bread crumbs, dry flavorful cheese and spices.

Each 9x13” Sfincione serves 4-8 people, depending on how hungry you and your family/guests are.

Order yours by Friday, February 16th at 4PM. Pickup is Saturday, February 17, between 10am and noon.

It's MARDI GRAS TIME!!

What better way to celebrate than with a rich, buttery, sweet, full of cream cheese and cinnamon, KING CAKE!!. This large cake will feed more than 12 people (or, if you're like me, maybe 4!!! hahahaha)

There's a tiny surprise hidden in each cake. If you find the surprise, you're next year's Mardi Gras host!!

To top off the weekend celebrations, there are 2 amazing savory and sweet treats.

How about a SUPERBOWL savory DELIGHT!!
Warm, gooey, spicy, cheesy, filled with pepperoni and spices, Stromboli. What better way to enjoy a piece of Stromboli? Dip each piece into my Tasty Tingling Tomato Sauce (aka:“TRIPLE T SAUCE") This Stromboli feeds about 8 people.

How to top off your SUPERBOWL celebration? I enjoy a piece of decadent, rich, filled with chocolate chips, brownies.
You could save them to serve for VALENTINE'S DAY!! But I know they'd NEVER last till Wednesday in my house!!

King Cakes are picked up on Saturday, February 10th.
