🍎🥪 Happy National School Lunch Week! ❤️

Our students got a special treat yesterday as our principal and assistant principal rolled up their sleeves and served lunch in the cafeteria! 🥰 Nothing makes a school feel more like family than leaders who take the time to connect with students in the everyday moments.

We are so thankful for our amazing administrators and our hardworking cafeteria staff who help keep our students happy, healthy, and ready to learn! 🥗🍎

Mrs. Long engaged students in a “Roll and Respond” activity that encouraged them to interact with the text while demonstrating their comprehension. Students read a story or play and rolled a die to determine which question or response prompt they would complete. They recorded their responses on the activity sheet, requiring them to return to the text and think critically about what they had read. Students reading the play also practiced reading assigned character roles, providing an opportunity to build fluency and engage with the text in an interactive way.
