Save the Dates for February
Just a quick reminder we have some fun events coming up. For our preschool families, we have our Valentine's Breakfast on 2/14. We will open the doors early at 9am so that you can come in and enjoy breakfast with your kids before school. Then on 2/28 stay when you drop off your kids and we will be having Special Chapel.
This event is open to everyone whether or not you are a member of our preschool. We are hosting a Pancake Supper on 2/21. This is Shrove Tuesday or Fat Tuesday. Come learn more about what this day represents and enjoy some pancakes! We will be open from 5:00 - 7:00pm.
We had a great visit from Fireman Jim. He visited us in October and the kids learned about fire safety and we got to see him suit up. Always remind your kids not to hide from police or fire fighters. They might look scary in their uniforms, but they are here to help us! The fun part was that firefighters have a safety mechanism built into their equipment that if they don't move every 30 seconds, an alarm will go off. So we also got to see Fireman Jim do a dance periodically. Then the kids toured the truck. It was a great day!
If you're like me, you're already running to the internet to try to figure out how to keep the kids occupied this summer and off the electronics. Here is a great website with some ideas for you. I love how she uses different senses, fun and play while teaching the kids. For most thing I bet they won't even know they are learning! She even has a printable calendar for June so you can do something each day.
