Last two days of Appreciation Week we took the staff to Mexico on Thursday with lunch from Moe’s, a “May the 4th” be with you gift card punch board, and Friday we ended the week with a take home Italian dinner. This week doesn’t happen without parent help. We had 1 epic planning committee, a dozen volunteers helping during the week and so many others donating and getting things done to help. To our Teachers and Staff, we appreciate everything you do to help our kids SOAR with Four! Thank you!

Staff received self-care goodies from Beauty Counter with some help from Mond Hair Lounge and LES parent. Full house last night at BINGO! Thank you to all the volunteers who made this event happen from start to finish and all the hands who helped last night. Big thanks to Mr. Martin and Ms. Griffith for calling the BINGO games. The event helped raise funds for the PTO to use for programs and other school needs. We have some exciting end of year purchases happening and we can’t wait to share what your support does for our students.

We're excited that Holiday Bakers will be part of Reading Under the Stars! Heather will bring some cookies and bars for you to purchase and take a sweet treat home after the event. Part of the proceeds goes back to the PTO. And she's made custom Hot Coco Bombs JUST for our event. You can pre-order those with the links in the comments and pick them up at the event. Remember Reading Under the Stars is Thursday, 3/23, 6-7:30pm. The event is for the whole family.

We're sorry to announce that Goodie with Grown Ups on 2/23 and 2/24 has been cancelled due to lack of volunteer support. Thank you to those that did sign up to help. In order to pull off the event in a safe and effective way we need more hands and help. There will be more ways to support our events and programs in the Spring. We hope to see you soon!

Last call to lead an after school club!! We currently have a leader for chess, arts & crafts, yoga, and cooking. We would love to add a few more clubs for our students to choose from.

What does this involve you ask?
**Club leaders will get to choose the day of their club(Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday), the topic of their club, the grade range of their club, the general cost and end time (4:00, 4:15 or 4:30)
**Club leaders will be responsible for their weekly club planning and signing students in and out of every club meeting.
**Clubs will begin the week of April 10th and end the week of May 15th
**Leaders will also receive a stipend depending on the cost you set of the club per student. Any supplies needed will come from the stipend.
**Clubs are capped at one leader per 10 students. (Recruit another adult to help you lead and not only will it be more fun but more students will have to chance to join!)

Some clubs that we would be excited to see for our LES Eagles are garden club, sports(PE) club, STEM club or any other club that you may be interested in leading.

Have questions or ready to get started as one of our awesome club leaders?! Please send an email to our club leader liaison, Amber Jones. [email protected]

Today the Appreciation Committee shared our love for Ms Snead-our dedicated Crossing Guard. Thanks for keeping our walkers safe! Also Ms Snell recently lost her home to a fire. If you’re able, we’re collecting grocery store gift cards (Giant/Safeway). You can drop them off in the front office and make sure you put her name on it. Thank you!

Today, with help from volunteers and donations from parents, the PTO delivered indoor recess carts to every grade. The carts were filled with STEM focused toys, play dough, dominoes, games and more. Our hope is we continue to build more carts for every classroom! Thank you for your support.

Head over to Ion International Training Center in Leesburg tonight for our Leesburg Spirit Night from 7:20 pm - 9:00 pm.

This event is for the whole family to attend - a portion of each participating skater will benefit our school.

There is space to warm up in the lobby and Lu's Bar & Grill for dinner too!

Please remember this is not a drop-off event, the ice rink is cold recommended to dress accordingly in sweatshirts, coats, and gloves too.

See you at Ion!

Thank you to those that made it out tonight for the PTO meeting. Amazing ideas shared, questions asked and meeting to new parents is just the best. A big thanks to Mr. Levy for his presentation. And thank you Mr Lacey for being the best hype man for the PTO. Look for lots of follow up emails and information for ways you can get involved and give back.
