A Place To Be's popular Fall Fest returns this month on October 24th for APTB clients and their families! Join us from 2:00-5:00pm for a fun-filled afternoon of music, games, art, and friendship.

Enjoy a variety of seasonal activities and games designed for everyone to participate, connect, and have fun, including a supportive karaoke hour! Pizza, snacks & drinks provided. Costumes are welcome but not required. Visit us at our Leesburg location, and enjoy the fall fun!

A Place To Be's Little Melodies group brings inclusive musical activities to children ages 6 and under, as they sing, dance, and play alongside their caregivers, our trained A Place To Be staff, and other children.

In three weeks, the "Art of Belonging" exhibition brings together local artists here at A Place To Be. Presented in our Hall of Hope, the featured works were created by members of our community and A Place To Be team. 20% of proceeds go towards supporting the mission of A Place To Be! Come meet the artists, and celebrate the power of art and community. We hope you’ll join us!

Prepare your time machine! Our fall tour continues with "Roar, Read, Repeat", one of two brand new shows our talented team is bringing to Pre-K and Montessori classrooms throughout Loudoun county. Tailored to Loudoun County Public Schools' Social and Emotional Learning curriculum, "Read, Roar, Repeat" focuses on an introduction to reading, and is presented in both English and Spanish with a fun Dinosaur-themed setting.

This month, The Immersion Enrichment Group has been celebrating the music, life, and legacy of Dolly Parton. Her famous song, 9 to 5 provided a jumping point for discussing work and jobs in our communities and in our homes.

We've identified jobs we do every day for our families and jobs we have as humans to be kind, helpful and respectful to all. With that in mind, Immersion Enrichment has decided to reach out in service to another non-profit in our community, Loudoun Hunger Relief.

Please join us by dropping off items from their most needed shelf-stable items to A Place To Be. The food drive is September 29-October 7th and the donation box is in the front office.

For 16 years, A Place To Be has used music, theater and expressive arts therapies to create community, belonging and hope. Through individual and group therapy, performances, school programs and social events, we create opportunities for people of all abilities to discover what they can do and find meaningful ways to connect with the world around them.
