Two statements from our school's just-released report from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement: According to current data,
(1) "Lee County High School's overall performance is higher than 91% of [high] schools in the state . . . ."
(2) "Its students' academic growth is higher than 99% of [other high] schools in the state . . . ."
Also in the report: We're a 39 percent free-or-reduced-lunch campus, 8 percent of our campus is disabled, our four-year graduation rate is 56 percent higher than most Georgia high schools, 33 percent of students are enrolled in accelerated coursework, and we are 100 percent proud of this report card! Whoo-hoooooo! Way to go, students, parents, and educators.

Varsity basketball took a hard 2-point loss today to knock them out of state playoffs. Still, this year's team went further in post-season play than any other group since the 1985 state championship team. Check for coverage Monday on our student newsite, http://www.lchpanoptic.com.
