A group on construction students took a visit to the 4C academy to test out some heavy equipment simulators.

Basic Agriculture students have been busy! They have learned how to read a tape measure/ruler in eighths and sixteenths, and then they have learned to apply those skills to Wildlife Management practices. They used a Boone & Crockett Score guide to score various whitetail deer harvested from a local plantation. Thank you to Pineland Plantation for donating the antlers.

Congratulations to Shanicie Williams for being voted as a 2023 Georgia Leadership Institute (GLISI) Hidden Hero. Mrs. Williams was 1 of 9 educators selected from across the state.

Congratulations are also in order for John Wanner who was named Georgia Construction Ready’s 2023 Teacher of the Year and will receive their Champion Award next Friday.

These two are definitely representing our well! Go Trojans!

HOSA partnered with Organizations That Care to help prepare Thanksgiving meals for over 1300 people in the community!

Lacie Wheeler met Governor Kemp and the First Lady to accept her Agriculture Scholarship recently during UGAs Harvest Festival in Athens. Congratulations Lacie!

Lee County HS FFA Meat Science Team finished 4th in the State. They traveled to the Meat Science Dept. on UGA’s campus this past weekend.
