Welcome to the last 2.5 months of classes. Now we will prepare for the final concert and select a program for the summer. As a reminder, registration for the next academic year ends on May 1st for current students. After May 1, I open time for new students.

Yesterday I judged students at the Spring Festival. Some of the kids played well. Some were completely unprepared, where were their teachers looking??? Major blunders: Sit correctly, rhythm/count violation, hand placement, wrong pedal, lack of dynamics. 🎹

Talking to the student about what the piece is is just as important as learning notes, articulation, rhythm. I think due to their age they often do not understand what they are playing about :) Just so as not to make a mistake :)

Weekdays. We continue to work on hand placement, sometimes it’s not easy for very young students, I think they just don’t quite understand “why”, because it doesn’t matter at all :)))) But on the other hand, we have made great progress in counting different notes, and there is also huge support parents, which is absolutely necessary :)
