This fall, Lake County voters are being asked to consider a 1-mill property tax to support school safety, student mental health, and teacher pay. We have built in assurances that the money will be spent appropriately, including the establishment of an independent committee to oversee the spending. It's time for this week's edition of "Meet the New Tready Bears" and today we are thrilled to introduce Orlando native Crystal Bennette to the Treadway Elementary family!
Holding a Bachelor’s from Rollins College and a Master’s in Public Health, Crystal brings a deep commitment to community service and is eager to create a fun, supportive classroom where students build confidence and reach their full potential. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading, and spending quality time with her family—join us in giving her a warm Tready Bear welcome!

Thank you, Lake County voters, for the support you've provided for school safety and student mental health over the last eight years. You have made a tremendous impact in the lives of our students, and we are grateful. That funding expires soon. In this video, Superintendent Kornegay explains the referendum on the November ballot that addresses funding for the next four years and directs you to website for more details to help you make an informed decision at the polls. https://youtu.be/2osgKf9x6Ko
