Loudoun Medical Group's Education Center is launching its first Medical Assistant Program this February 10th. The intensive 5-week program meets Monday through Thursday evenings in the Education Center located on the 4th floor of the Cornwall Medical Pavilion from 6:00PM-9:00PM. The program is discounted to $2,000 (normally $3,000) during the introductory period month of February. Flexible payment

options and plans are available. Participants will receive training in:
Taking medical histories
Explaining treatment procedures to patients
Preparing patients for examination
Assisting the physician during exams
Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
Performing basic laboratory tests
Instructing patients about medication and special diets
Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
Authorizing prescription refills as directed
Drawing blood
Taking electrocardiograms
Removing sutures and changing dressings

In addition, all participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion, and be eligible to sit for National Certification Testing at the education center at no cost after completing 1 year as a practicing medical assistant. Inquire today!
