This week we're highlighting our Music Program at ECS!

Music is more than a class at Evergreen; it's an opportunity for students to develop their God-given gifts, grow in confidence, and glorify God through creativity and performance.

From Concert Choir and Guitar to Jazz Band and Chamber Strings, students build musical skills while learning teamwork, discipline, and artistic excellence. This year, students represented Evergreen in All-District Chorus and Guitar, led worship during chapel, and shared their talents through three outstanding formal performances.

We're grateful for the ways music enriches our community and helps students use their gifts to serve others.

We're bringing back a tradition from last year, and sharing advice from our class of 2026 over this summer with Wisdom Wednesdays! Today's piece of wisdom centers on the power of prayer in our daily lives.

And just like that, our ECS seniors became ECS Alumni 🎉 Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Our Baccalaureate Breakfast is a treasured tradition for graduating seniors and their families. In the craziness of the end of the year, it’s a time set apart to worship together, and to pray over and speak life into our seniors before they walk across the graduation stage! We love these seniors and we’re so thankful for our partnership with their incredible families.

Last week we introduced a special new tradition for ECS Athletics - the ECS Athletic Hall of Fame. We honored 10 inductees who were selected for their outstanding achievements and the lasting impact they made on ECS Athletics.

🏀 Matthew, Jackson, and Cole each scored 1,000+ career points at ECS and hold many school records.

🏀 Jafet was named Virginia State Player of the Year and was the first ECS student to recieve a full-ride scholarship to compete at the Division I level.

🏀 Elijah earned All-State honors and ranks among the top scorers in ECS history.

⚽ Madelyn is a dominant multi-sport athlete and will become the first ECS female athlete to compete in college athletics.

🏐🥎⚽Cam, Kayden, Izzy, Madelyn, and Malia helped launch our girls athletic programs by stepping up to play multiple sports over their four years at ECS.

Congratulations to these athletes for building a legacy at ECS. We are excited to see what the future of our Hall of Fame has in store!
