Meet ATP Alumni and Ambassador Jon, and learn more about his journey through ATP to XOJET! ✈️

"G'day from the flight deck, everyone! My name is Jonathan Marotto and more than happy to be a part of the Alumni team!

In May 2021, at age 30, I switched from the hospitality industry to a full-time student at ATP San Antonio, Texas (KSAT). I chose this location due to the convenience factor of being close to my home, family, and friends, where I could have the best support system possible. Before training, I visited the KSAT location, and I met with instructors and students, and everyone felt welcoming and friendly. Also, I had a close friend of mine that was a huge advocate of ATP, and he gave a lot of credit to his career change to his experience at ATP Lawrenceville, GA location (KLZU). I saw how QUICK he was able to make a new career change - and that's exactly what I was looking for in a flight school.

Today I am flying for XOJET Aviation which is one of the largest on-demand private jet charter companies in North America, with over 3,000 aircraft in our fleet. I am currently a First Officer on the Cessna Citation X (CE-750), which happens to be one of the fastest private jets in the world. Needless to say, it's an exciting experience to be in the front seat during take-off. We fly all over North America, Mexico, and the Caribbean to stunning new locations every day.

One of the most reoccurring things you'll hear from an ATP Alumni, and I feel no different, is that as a student at ATP, you are being tailored, inside and outside the cockpit, to fit the mold that is expected of you in a professional capacity for the airlines and/or charter world. Follow and trust this recipe! It has been proven to work by THOUSANDS of pilots before you. When you embark on your journey with ATP, immerse yourself in aviation by going to the training center every day and creating positive relationships with your colleagues and instructors. There's a lot of value in learning from those around you, and will keep you motivated. I hope to meet you out on the line! SEE-YUH!"

ATP maintenance keeps our students and instructors flying over 534,000 flight hours annually. Meet ATP-RIV maintenance manager Bill, and learn more about his journey of becoming an aircraft mechanic!

"My name is Bill, and I am the maintenance manager at ATP Riverside. My journey as an aircraft mechanic started in 1997 in the military. I retired from the Air Force in 2018 and was ready to take on a new challenge. After retiring from the Air Force, I worked as a line maintenance manager at LAX.

When covid hit, I decided to look for something closer to home and found ATP. I love watching ATP students go from nothing to airline pilots, and I look forward to the days I bump into them at the airport to see they made it."

Meet ATP Alumni, Ambassador, and Envoy Air Careers First Officer Angie, and learn more about her journey from ATP to Envoy!

⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

"Hey everyone! My name is Angelyn and I am a proud ambassador for ATP. I trained out of the Hillsboro location in Oregon. I chose this location to be closer to my family during training since I am from the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As you may know I chose ATP because they checked off all the boxes I was looking for in a flight school. When I first started flying taking out loans for flight training was still fairly new but when I finally decided to go full time it was an absolute necessity. Flying brand new planes was also a huge bonus that I appreciate even to do this day looking back on it.

I am currently flying an Embraer 175 which is only a bigger version of the G1000 Archers I got to fly at ATP. Getting to fly something so technologically advanced in my early training gave me a big step up into learning how to fly the jet. I just consolidated as an FO at my airline which means I have at least 100 hours in the ERJ! It has been exactly what I have been working toward and I can’t wait to keep hitting those milestones. Thank you for reading! See you in the friendly skies ☺️"

Meet ATP Alumni, Ambassador, and United First Officer Hunter, and learn more about his journey from ATP to United Airlines! 🛫

⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

"Hey everyone, my name is Hunter, and I am a 2017 Alumni from the LZU training location. I chose ATP flight School because the current school I was training at was not getting me where I wanted to be in an adequate amount of time. Therefore I joined ATP with credit for my private license and finished up my ratings in just four months.

I’m now a First Officer at United Airlines, flying the 787 Dreamliner out of Washington Dulles International Airport. ATP’s fast-paced training program and strict SOPs helped prepare me for what it’s really like to be a professional pilot where you have strict standards and uniform procedures. ATP helped me develop great CRM skills and get me done quickly, so I could become an instructor and build my experience."

Meet ATP Alumni and Brand Ambassador Nick, and learn more about his journey to the Breeze Airways flight deck.

⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

"I started my flight training out of ATP-HFD in February of 2021. I chose ATP because of the standardization of training, fast-track curriculum, and the focus on maintenance on the largest training fleet in the country. I instructed at ATP-HFD, ATP-FMY, and finished up my time as an Indoc Flight Standards Instructor in CRG in January of 2023. ATP’s core values and career services helped mold me into a professional aviator and opened up many doors to advance in my career.

Out of the many airline partnerships, I enrolled in the Breeze Embark Program and am flying for Breeze Airways on the A220. Throughout airline training, I recognized many of the same skills and resources I learned while I was at ATP, and ATP helped me achieve my dream of being an airline pilot. From day 1, ATP set a precedent in flight training that helped me successfully transition to such an advanced airplane."

Incredibly grateful to ATP Flight School for the opportunity to progress in my career so quickly. Thankful for everyone in my life who has supported me up to this point. It’s been a grind, but so worth it. Wishing my coworkers at ATP-LUK great success going forward. You all have been a pleasure to work with and are an amazing team of instructors!"

As I’m near the bottom of the reserve list for DFW FO’s, I was given a lot of airport standby (ready reserve), but luckily I was called for flying almost every day. Lots of fun flying and some cool destinations (and lots of deadheads!).
