- My name is Damien Midkiff.

I am from New Orleans, LA where I attended Brother Martin High School. I acquired an Honor's diploma, graduated with a 3.946 GPA, and was named "Outstanding Graduate of the Year" by the faculty. Upon graduating, I acted for many years in New York and Los Angeles. I began to yearn for something different, so I moved to Lee's Summit and began diving into my studies. I graduated with "High Honors" from MCC, received my Associates In Arts Teaching Degree, and was given an award for academic achievement. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UMKC with a BS in Mathematics and Statistics; my GPA at graduation was a 3.96. I then got my Master’s in Mathematics at UMKC where I also taught College Algebra and Precalculus. I currently live in Los Angeles . I love making mathematics more user-friendly for students! Why tutor?
- With growing class sizes and increasing curriculum demands, one-on-one tutoring is the best way for the student to stay ahead of the curve. There is a huge push in the United States for students to study and become proficient in the field of Mathematics. Let me help open up this field for you. Where does the tutoring take place?
- I travel to your home or to the student's school (with the school's permission). If you have another location in mind, just let me know. How much does it cost?
- I tutor in hour increments. My rate is $60/hr. What age do you tutor?
- I tutor all students ages 10 through 18. What would I need?
- I usually like to work from some sort of source material (either the student's current or future textbook, past tests, or curriculum suggestions from their teacher). While I am familiar with the general demands of the Los Angeles School District, the more specific I can be with the lessons I prepare, the better. I realize that everyone has different needs or concerns. Please do not hesitate to talk with me about any other accommodations or questions you may have.
