Lee's Summit Elementary PTA

Located in the ❤️ of Downtown Lee’s Summit. Home of the Cougars.🐾 We give parents what they want - a way to help their children succeed.

As a Parent-Teacher Association, our group is part of a larger community working on behalf of children advocating for health, welfare, safety, education and the protection of children at every level. PTA is recognized throughout many communities as the organization that continues to make a difference for children’s issues. Our purpose is to build positive relationships within the LSE community and to provide opportunities to enrich the school experience. We are a group run by volunteers and led by volunteers, and we are accountable to our members, parents, and schools.

Do you have any old LSE shirts? Any that your kids have outgrown? We will take them from any year!

Please drop them off at the front office before this upcoming Thursday. We will set up the thrift table at the Back to School BBQ on September 17 from 5:30-7pm.

Hey LSE - alumni, friends, and families!

Stuck inside and cleaning out closets? If not, now is the perfect time to dig out those old LSE shirts and sweatshirts!

We are collecting all sizes. Drop off at the front office or send items with a student.

We will have a LSE Spirit Wear Thrift Table at the Back to School BBQ on September 17. Everything is free (donations always welcome). First come, first served. One piece per person.

The first full week is officially in the books. ✅

Thank you to our incredible teachers, staff, and every member of our community who helped make the transition back smooth and supportive. Such good vibes and energy!

No school on Monday in observance of Labor Day. See everyone back at school on TUESDAY! Stay cool.

TODAY at 5:30pm in the LSE Library!

Join us for the school’s Title I Meeting (updates from Mrs. Sanders) followed by our very first PTA Meeting of the year. Everyone is welcome (kids too).

It’s a great opportunity to understand what’s happening at LSE and share your input. Let’s do this!

So far this year, we have made $129.70 with BoxTops. 🐾💪

TOMORROW is the last day for the bonus $$ for using the referral code. Be sure to download the app and scan a paper or upload a digital receipt. It’s a small way to help support student programming and support for LSE. Every little bit helps.

Happy Friday, LSE Cougars! 🐾❤️

School begins one hour later today at 10:10am and doors open at 9:55am.

And don’t forget! The first PTA meeting of the year is this Tuesday, September 1 at 5:30pm in the LSE Library. Meetings are usually about an hour, everyone is welcome (you do not need to be a PTA member), and kids can come too. The first portion will include the school’s Title I Meeting. We highly encourage you to come to the first meeting - lots of information and a great way to connect!

School is back and our LSE Cougars are on the move through downtown.🐾🚲🚌🚗

Please drive with caution. Respect the crosswalks and watch for walkers and buses. A little extra patience goes a long way. Let’s all arrive safely to our destinations.
