💙 Where Your PTA Dollars Went in May 💙

May was our biggest spending month of the school year—but it was also one of the most fun!

Thanks to the support of our WLE families, sponsors, and fundraising efforts throughout the year, we were able to help fund:

These events created special memories for students, celebrated our amazing staff, and helped end the school year on a high note.

Thank you for supporting the PTA all year long. Every membership, donation, fundraiser purchase, volunteer hour, and sponsorship helped make these experiences possible for our students and staff. We appreciate you being part of what makes WLE such a special place!

REMINDER: We are offering breakfast and lunch free of charge at Meadow Lane Elementary during the month of June for any child 18 and under. You do not have to sign up, show proof of income--nothing. Please share this with your family and friends!!

As this school year wraps up, we have to give a huge THANK YOU to one very special former PTA president, Jen VonFeldt Bennett, who helped shape so much of the fun, community, and spirit our Woodland families have enjoyed over the years. 💙🐻💚

We first teamed up when our current 5th graders were just kindergarteners… right in the middle of Covid, when PTA activities were understandably pretty quiet. We both knew Woodland families still needed connection and fun, we just had to figure out how to do it. From those early conversations to packed family events, skate nights, assemblies, giveback nights, holiday party days, field days, and all the little things in between, you helped bring PTA fun back to Woodland in such a big way.

Thank you for jumping in with me, for always being willing to help solve problems, for saying “yes” when things felt impossible, and for giving so much of your time and heart over your six years as a Woodland parent. So much of what Woodland PTA is today has your fingerprints all over it.

While we’re thankful we’ll still get to see you around East Trails, Woodland sure won’t be the same without you here every day.

Thanks for everything. Woodland is better because of you.

After FOUR incredible years of making our Woodland yearbooks happen, it’s time to give a huge THANK YOU to Kelly Winton! 💙📚🐻

Kelly has been a one-woman committee — coordinating photos, organizing pages, meeting deadlines, communicating with the yearbook company, and somehow turning thousands of school memories into an amazing keepsake for our students and families every single year.

Next year, Kelly’s youngest Bear heads off to middle school, and while we’re so excited for their family, we are definitely going to miss her around here. Thank you, Kelly, for everything you’ve done for Woodland. Your impact will last far beyond these pages. ❤️

Field Day 2026 is officially in the books!

Like always, Coach Evans’s games were a HUGE hit with the kids — the competition was fierce and the energy was high. We’re also pretty sure the popsicles and inflatables earned some fans too.

Field Day is one of the many fun things PTA gets to help provide thanks to YOUR support throughout the year.

Shoutout to our volunteers! We love how field day brings out the dads. Our students LOVE having you out there hyping up the games and cheering them on.

Last Monday’s final skate night of the year was one for the books! 🛼✨

We had 100 skaters, making it one of our most popular skate nights all year long! More than a third of those skaters were 5th graders enjoying their final skate night as current Woodland Bears. 💚🐻💙

Thank you to everyone who came out last night — and to all the families who joined us throughout the year. These nights are always such a fun way to build community.

To our 5th graders: we’re going to miss seeing you out on the rink! 💫

There is NO skate night tonight — Thursday, May 14! 🛼❌

We know there was some confusion since our LAST skate night of the year was scheduled on a Monday instead of our usual Tuesday or Thursday. We just want to make sure everyone knows there is no skate night tonight before anyone laces up those skates and heads out! 😅
