On Friday we were preparing for our students to come and ended up matching somehow. It reminded us of the book A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannan. We are excited for Meet the Teacher tomorrow from 4-6!

We have to brag on our wonderful nutrition services staff. Miss Betsy received an award last week for the Cafeteria Manger of the Year! Mrs. Tonda also received an award for the Heart or the Nutrition Services program. They keep our little bears fed and happy and we are so thankful they are a part of our Woodland Community. Congratulations, ladies.

Meet Our New Bears: Madelyn Davis!
Madelyn is joining the WLE team as a fourth grade teacher! She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Madelyn loves bringing creativity into everything she does and can't wait to make her classroom a fun, engaging place to learn. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the lake, shopping, and exploring new coffee shops. Welcome to Woodland, Madelyn! 🐻💚

Meet Our New Bears: Lilly Root!
Lilly is joining the WLE team as our Assistant Principal! She earned her bachelor's degree from William Jewell College and her master's degree from the University of Central Missouri. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing pickleball, and hanging out with her husband, Justin, and their pets, Poppy and Ollie. Meet Our New Bears: DeAnn Bauman!
DeAnn is joining the WLE team as a Special Education Teacher! She earned degrees from Mizzou, UMKC, and UCM, where she completed her teacher certification and master's in Curriculum & Instruction. DeAnn is entering her 18th year in education and is joining Woodland from Cedar Creek Elementary. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, learning to crochet, and making the most of life on their acreage near Harrisonville. Welcome to Woodland, DeAnn! 🐻💚
