Sunday studio shoutout to Digital Media Technology at Summit Technology Academy 🇺🇸 their students, staff and their 68 console!

The Digital Media Technology program at STA gives students an opportunity to explore and prepare for careers in media communications industries.

We were excited to share our space with some guests today and unveil the new addition to 's Studio One! This custom sign, created by our friends and the awesome folks at Fossil Forge Design, was made possible by generous donations and it will light the studio like a beacon for creativity for years to come 🤩😎

Studio One at now has a custom neon sign created by , one of our favorite local businesses! You can see a grid of all images on ’s profile, but it’s even more impressive in person. Thanks to generous donations, we were able to provide this one-of-a-kind item, setting the stage for decades of creativity in Digital Media Technology!

We've easily completed over 100 projects in the last several years, but we've never partnered with a client the way we did with the Lee's Summit Symphony Orchestra. Not only did they come to us with a real-world problem we could solve, but they also asked how they could support our program in solving it. That's huge!

The symphony provided funding through the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation for us to purchase equipment that we're using during the symphony performances and other similar projects. We used this equipment during the recent MSHSAA large-ensemble music contest at Lee's Summit West and during the LS PTA school board candidate forum we live-streamed earlier this year.

Congrats to this team for bringing home a Pixel Award at the 2026 @emagine_fest eMagine Media Festival! Their commercial won 1st place over the weekend. This project asked #STADigitalMedia creatives to turn everyday objects into rhythmic storytelling tools. The challenge was to create a 30-second product video for something completely non-musical. This was a challenging project in terms of both audio and video editing skills. On the audio side, they captured individual samples using Zoom recorders or microphones. They learned how to manipulate those sounds in Logic, building custom beats with Ultrabeat and Quick Sampler to lay the foundation for the commercial. For the video, they had to synchronize every cut to the pulse of their music. This meant learning the technical side of pre-production and post-production. They had to capture multiple takes with "handles" for editing. They used markers in Final Cut Pro to align the visuals perfectly with the audio. It was a true collaborative effort that required them to think like both musicians and filmmakers to tell a complete story.
