This is a little jam from a recent gig.

Just an acoustic guitar, a boomerang 3 looper, delay, and reverb. I also use an octave pedal for bass lines.

I brought way more effects than I actually used but hey, you never know when inspiration will strike.

The tune is Chitlins Con Carne by Kenny Burrell. SRV also had a cool version as well.

I hope you like it. LMK what you think in the comments.

Comment “CAGED” to get a full pdf breakdown of this simple triad system.

Be sure to practice these shapes until you have them completely memorized and then move the shapes to a new key.

Happy practicing and I will see you in the next lesson.

This is the easiest place on your fretboard to incorporate double stops.

Don’t sleep on this lesson! If you’ve been wanting to add texture to your lead lines like Jimi Hendrix, SRV, and John Mayer then this lesson is for you.

Comment “TAB” to get the tabs for this plus over 25 more amazing chord lick chord lessons.

Everyone wants to learn to play this way and believe me, you can make it happen.

You just have to be willing to learn good phrasing. That means you have to know how much time you have in between chords to throw in a lick and then land on the next chord in time.

I teach my students how to do this every single week.

Thanks for watching and learning from me.

Stop stressing over the CAGED system and learn the triads inside each CAGED shape.

The cage system is great for mastering chords across the fretboard but it’s what’s hiding inside each shape that can really change your playing.

One you can find the triads in each caged shape you’re really making progress. Not to mention that the triads are way easier to play than some of the strange caged fingerings.

Comment “TRIAD” to get the full PDF and backing track that goes with this lesson.

There is a longer version of this lesson on my YouTube channel as well.

Have a great day!

Check out this easy to apply triad trick!

Triads can feel overwhelming when you first start learning them because it feel like there are endless shapes to learn…

The real trick is to learn the most used shapes first. Then you start immediately applying them to real music.

Don’t ever learn a concept without trying to apply it to real music. Application is what will help you quickly get these ideas under your fingers.

Don’t forget to learn things in multiple keys.
If you don’t do this you will easily get lost when trying to apply concepts over new progressions and new keys.

You don’t need to learn things in all 12 keys but you should aim for 2-4 keys per concept.

Thanks for watching and don’t forget to follow for more lessons that will help you become a better guitar player in less time.
