Team Driven is a FIRST robotics team out of Lee's Summit, MO. The challenges of being a rookie team in the FIRST world made robotics seem nearly impossible.
Based out of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Team 1730 began in the fall of 2005 as an undistinguished, nameless organization. Lee’s Summit High School physics teacher, Jim Nazworthy, hosted a meeting for a small group of students he had convinced to come and see what the FIRST program had to offer. Do you like building and programming robots and are looking for a unique challenge this fall? Then Junior Robotics League is for you! For K-8th graders interested in anything robotics, experience a brand new game design, 6 weeks to build a robot with help from High School Robotics Team Driven, and finally a 2-day competition at the end of November. Registration is OPEN for the 2025 Junior Robotics League Program! JRL is a 6-week program where K-8th graders build a robot to compete in a game, culminating in a 2-day competition at the end of November!
