Coach Brad is turning 50 this year and has been wrestling since the age of 7. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also a former pro MMA fighter, middle school wrestling coach, a swordsman, a jouster, and THE KING of the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. 👑 In other words… Coach Brad is pretty well prepared for combat! 💯😂

Every last Monday and Wednesday of the month at 7PM, Brad teaches what we lovingly refer to as “Wrestle-Jitsu.” As the name suggests, it’s all about wrestling techniques and concepts that translate directly into Jiu-Jitsu.

These two push each other!

Huge congratulations 👏 to Jet and Jackson both, for earning their 3rd stripes this week!!!

These two have been training for a while now, and they’re proof that dynamite really does come in small packages! 💥 Despite their age and size, both of these young boys display the heart of champions. They never quit because they understand that every mistake on the mat is a lesson learned and that failure isn’t the end of the process, it’s a part of progression. They are both impressively coachable as well, which is a HUGE deal for today’s youth!

All promotions at SquareOneJJ are earned, not given! We are INCREDIBLY proud of these two little warriors! They are shining examples of what can happen when kids embrace the challenges of Jiu Jitsu, put in the work, and refuse to give up. Both of them are true success stories from our kids’ Jiu Jitsu program here at SOJA.

Today, we’re celebrating 3 incredible years of Square One Jiu Jitsu Academy.

It’s hard to put into words how much your continued support means to us. To every student, parent, family member, and friend who has been part of our journey, past or present,
THANK YOU for helping build the culture that makes this academy so special!

Three years is a milestone we’re proud of, but we’re just getting started. We’ll continue to work, grow, and strive to become the best academy we can be for our students and our community.

As we move forward, we’re excited to continue that growth under the guidance of Professor Robert Drysdale and Team Zenith BJJ Official . We’re proud to represent that vision here at home as Zenith of Kansas City, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.
