Welcome to Our Little Town. ❤️

While we’re building Our Little Town, we’re bringing the vibe to life one adventure at a time.

The greatest ideas are inspired by real-life experiences, and one of our littles is already making memories with her Dee every Wednesday, shopping downtown together, exploring local businesses, and filling her bag with little treasures. That simple tradition inspired the Our Little Town Loop.

These canvas bags are designed to teach children real-life commerce by letting them shop, choose an item, hand it to the cashier, pay for it, and proudly place their purchase in their very own shopping bag. Simple moments like these build confidence, independence, and an appreciation for shopping local.

Now we’re giving these bags away so your little one can create their own Our Little Town Loop while exploring their town, meeting local business owners, and discovering all the unique places that make a community special.

Starting August 1, you can pick up an Our Little Town bag at The Burrow Bookstore in Leeds to start your adventure!

Another Incubator Project for Leeds! ❤️

As Our Little Town is under construction, we’re investing in the community we’re building it for.

While the City of Valor celebrates America’s 250th this Saturday (6/13) from 5:30–8:00 PM, kids 12 and under can enjoy a free meal at The Three Earred Rabbit and free ice cream at Sweet Caroline’s, thanks to the support of some incredible community partners.

People often ask what The Incubator Foundation actually does…

We are where ideas go to grow.

Too many good ideas die before they ever have a chance. Some never find the right people. Some never find funding. Some get mismanaged, misappropriated, voted out due to inside agendas, or are just poorly executed. Others simply don’t have a place where they can be nurtured into something meaningful.

That’s why we exist.
We help turn ideas into action.

Sometimes that means teaching a small business owner how to market their business, understand their finances, or collaborate with others. Sometimes it means helping a community group organize a project or connecting people with resources. Sometimes it’s as simple as teaching practical life skills that help people become more capable and confident.

And sometimes it means helping others discover creative and appropriate ways to invest in the places they call home. Strong communities aren’t built by one person or one organization. They’re built when people understand how to work together, support one another, and create opportunities that benefit everyone.

At our core, we’re an education organization.

We teach practical life skills, business skills, and community skills. We mentor. We connect. We encourage collaboration. We help people see that a good idea can become something bigger and more impactful when it has the right support behind it.

We also believe donors deserve to know where their money goes.

The people who invest should be able to see the results of that investment. They should know their dollars were used wisely and that their contribution created something meaningful. We stand on transparency, accountability, and measurable impact.

And if a donor wants, they can choose from a menu of projects just like ordering from a restaurant. They can choose the projects that mean most to them, then watch them come to life.

Because the real magic is in helping good ideas become real projects that improve lives.

We’re not trying to build an organization.

We’re building capable people, stronger businesses, stronger families, and stronger communities.

Huge congratulations to Junior Achievement on their new Financial Literacy Education Center right down the road in Birmingham. The more opportunities kids have to learn real-world skills like money management, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and teamwork, the better.

Kids learn best when they get to explore, imagine, create, and practice life in a safe environment designed just for them and this makes us even more excited about bringing Our Little Town to Leeds for the littles.

A new economic education center in Birmingham aims to help students learn how to budget, manage money and explore careers in a hands-on environment.

That’s the heart behind the ✨ Our Little Town Passport ✨

While we’re building Our Little Town, we want to encourage families to explore the small businesses who are open today. We want downtown to feel welcoming, connected, and alive. That magic is never about one organization. It’s about the community as a whole becoming a family. We want Disney energy, not main character energy. The full experience. The kind of feeling that makes families want to stay longer, walk around, explore downtown, support local businesses, and make memories together.

One of the first places you’ll see the Our Little Town Passport in action is with our friends at 🏁 Motors on Main 🏁 as we continue finding fun ways to connect families, small businesses, and community together in Downtown Leeds.

While we prepare this space for something truly special for children and families everywhere, we’re proud to use these front windows to spotlight and support our downtown neighbors. Small businesses are the heartbeat of this town, and we believe building community starts with lifting each other up.
