OUR LADY PANTHERS ARE ON TOP! 🐾

What an incredible season for our Lady Panthers Volleyball Program! Both our JV and Varsity teams battled hard, grew stronger, and improved with every match!

Today, our VARSITY LADY PANTHERS brought home the COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP PLAQUE for the entire program! 🏆🎉

We couldn’t be prouder of these amazing student-athletes and their dedicated coaches! Your hard work, determination, teamwork, and Panther pride made this season one to remember!

A special thank-you to all of our Citrus County teams for the outstanding competition and sportsmanship throughout the season!

🚧 Important Traffic & Parent Pick-Up Update – Thursday, October 15 🐾💚💛
Good afternoon, Panther Families!
Due to last week's weather, Lecanto High School has rescheduled the Homecoming Parade for this Thursday, October 15.

To accommodate the parade, the roundabout leading onto campus will be temporarily closed beginning at 12:40 PM. We anticipate that the roadway will reopen by approximately 1:40 PM.

🚗 Important Information for Parents:
Early Student Pick-Up: If you need to pick up your child early on Thursday, please make arrangements to do so before 12:30 PM to avoid being impacted by the road closure.

Afternoon Parent Pick-Up: To ensure the safety of our students and parade participants, parents will not be permitted to enter or park in the LMS parent pick-up area until after the parade has concluded and the roadway has reopened. Please do not arrive early to park or wait in the parent pick-up area.

Traffic Delays: Please plan accordingly and allow for possible delays as traffic returns to normal following the parade.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we make these temporary adjustments to allow our Lecanto High School students to enjoy their traditional Homecoming Parade!

📚🐾 PANTHERS, ARE YOU READY FOR A MILLION-WORD READING CHALLENGE? 💚💛

At Lecanto Middle School, we believe literacy opens doors to future education, careers, and success in life! We also believe that reading for enjoyment builds essential skills, sparks imagination, and creates a lifelong love of reading. 📖

One of our favorite sights is watching students browse our library, discover their next great book, and immediately dive into its pages!

Today, we kicked off THE PRINCIPAL’S MILLION-WORD READING CHALLENGE! 🏆

📚 Since July, Mrs. Frederick has read an incredible 1,469,065 WORDS!

🎯 THE CHALLENGE: Read 1,469,065 words or MORE by December 11!

🍨 THE CELEBRATION: Every student who meets or beats Mrs. Frederick’s word count will be invited to a special ICE CREAM SUNDAE CELEBRATION on December 15!

We know that getting lost in a wonderful book is a reward all its own! ❤️ But we’re going to make that intrinsic reward a little sweeter by celebrating our readers with a delicious ice cream sundae! 🍦🎉

Because every page turned, every story discovered, and every minute spent reading is an investment in a brighter future!

Reading doesn’t stop just because you’re an adult. 💚

Reading builds vocabulary, sparks imagination, strengthens critical thinking, and helps us understand others. From discovering new interest to exploring different perspectives, books help us grow far beyond the classroom. At Lecanto Middle School, we encourage our panthers to make time to read every day. Find a book you love, turn the page, and see where it takes you! 🚀
Parents and families, ask your child today: “Have you visited the library lately? What are you reading?” A simple conversation, can spark excitement and help build a lifelong love of reading!
