🐾 LMS Families—We’re Leveling Up Our Word Power! 🧠✨

Check out our Week 3 Morphology Practice! Students are learning how meaningful word parts can help them unlock the meanings of new and unfamiliar words.

The learning doesn’t stop in the classroom! Students can create words using this week’s morphology parts, share the words and their meanings with an administrator, and earn a sweet treat! 🍬

We’re even leveling up our vocabulary in the cafeteria and hallways between classes!

Keep learning, keep growing, and keep bringing your “A” Game, Panthers! 💚💛

🐾 A Friendly Reminder About the Courts

Many students choose to walk to the nearby public courts or park after school. We want families to understand that this area is not part of LMS school grounds and is not supervised by school personnel.

The courts and park are open to the general public. Any concerns or incidents occurring there are handled by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and may result in legal action.

Please talk with your student about your family’s expectations, transportation arrangements, and plans for after school.

🎯 Targeted instruction makes a difference!

This is exactly what’s happening in Ms. Ligsay’s and Ms. Finch’s classes! Students are working in purposeful small groups, allowing our teachers to meet them right where they are—identifying specific learning needs, providing immediate feedback, and giving each student the support they need to grow.

Research shows that well-designed small-group instruction can lead to significant academic gains. When instruction is targeted, every minute matters and every student gets what they need to move forward! 💚💛

Students are working with powers, exponents, and numerical expressions, and just as importantly, they’re building confidence along the way! 💪

Mr. Hannett is reinforcing an important message: Skills grow with effort. When students stay focused, put in the work, and keep trying—even when the learning gets challenging—they CAN master it! 🌟

🐾💚💛 September is Attendance Awareness Month! 💛💚🐾

At LMS, we know that every day counts! When students are present, they have more opportunities to learn, connect, belong, and succeed.

Throughout September, students can earn:

🎟️ A drawing ticket for each day they attend
🍬 A sweet treat for perfect attendance each week
🍦 A certificate and ice cream for perfect attendance all month
🎁 A chance to win a special grade-level prize

We will also begin our Perfect Attendance Pizza Drawings on October 7 for September attendance! 🍕

Let’s make attendance our mission and level up together!
