Curiosity doesn’t need to be taught. It needs to be protected.

Give children ideas. Give them experiences. Give them space to ask questions, follow a rabbit hole, discover a new passion, and see where their interests take them.

Because when curiosity is fed, learning has no finish line.

**Reflections from the first few weeks on campus.**

Children are naturally curious. They’re incredibly creative. And when we give them the space to figure things out, something pretty amazing happens.

I put this machine in the middle of the floor with no instructions.
No demonstration on how to use it.
No template or example of what to create.
No step-by-step directions.

Nothing.

Then I sat back and watched.

I watched the older leaders guide the younger leaders.

I watched them communicate, problem-solve, and work together to make sure everyone had a turn.

And then I watched what they created—all on their own.

Sometimes the best learning happens when we step back and give kids the space to wonder, experiment, collaborate, and create.

Wrapping up Week 1 with these happy faces!

This week was all about getting to know one another, getting comfortable with our coaches and our campus, and settling into the rhythm of our days.

We wrapped up the week with a little creativity in the art room. 🎨 They got to put their own mark on the space they’ll be creating, learning, and growing in all year long.

Because what better way to learn how a community works than by helping build it?

We can’t wait to watch this room—and all the incredible things that happen in it—come to life this year!

And just like that… Apogee Hunterdon is officially underway. 🚀

First official day and this crew absolutely nailed it.

Low-key. Lots of play. Plenty of exploring, creating, and getting to know one another.

We worked together to create our campus expectations and spent the day exploring the spaces that will become such a big part of our year:

The Forge — build. experiment. engineer.
The Grove — explore ideas, stories, and information.
The Quest — problem-solving, writing, math, independent work & challenges.
The Studio — art, creativity, projects & imagination.
The Arena — movement, fitness, games & physical challenges.

Five spaces. So many possibilities.

We couldn’t be more grateful to the families who have trusted us and given Apogee Hunterdon the opportunity to come to life.
