I had a great time at the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Business Builders Luncheon today! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and connect with some new ones as well.

A special thank you to T's Teesfor sharing about their business. Not only were they incredibly generous with shirts and swag, but what stood out most was their purpose-driven approach. Their message really resonated with me: ā€œBuilding a business isn’t just about making a living; it’s about making a difference.ā€ What an inspiring reminder of the impact local businesses can have in our community!

And it truly was ā€œT’s all aroundā€ today, T’s Redneck Steakhouse did an excellent job with lunch which always makes the event more enjoyable.

Grateful to be part of a community that supports one another and is committed to making a difference!

Happy National Mascot Day from MSU Outreach Central!

Boomer the Bear made a surprise visit today… I made sure we got a quick selfie together!

Even in cardboard form, he’s still representing Bear pride strong! ā¤ļøšŸ»

I had the opportunity to join the Teacher Externship Program this year through the Lake Region GOCAPS, and it was incredibly informative and eye-opening.

From the Bridges Out of Poverty training to the discussions around real-world, client-connected projects, our culminating activity really reinforced how valuable it is for educators to step into the community and see firsthand what students will experience beyond the classroom.

A huge thank you to Brian Thompson and Nathan Russell for organizing this experience for teachers every year. It’s such a meaningful way to build connections and bring relevant, real-world learning into classrooms.

If you ever have the chance to participate in this, I highly recommend it. Every teacher can walk away with something valuable.

Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Lake Region GOCAPS Capstone Night, and this week I spent time with the Tri-Lakes Area GOCAPS Showcase, and I continue to be so impressed.

The energy, professionalism, and curiosity these students bring to their learning environments is incredible. Seeing them engage with real-world experiences and take ownership of their futures is exactly what makes programs like GOCAPS so impactful. It’s clear they are developing the skills and confidence that will serve them well in whatever path they choose.

A sincere thank you to the directors and instructors at both Lake Region and Tri-Lakes for welcoming me and allowing me to be part of your programs. The dedication you show to these students does not go unnoticed, and it truly makes a difference.

I also want to give a special congratulations to one of our Missouri State Outreach instructors Mr. Bryan Campbell, who was honored at the Lake Region night with a plaque of appreciation for his many years of support. It was wonderful to see his commitment recognized, and it is well deserved!

Grateful for these partnerships and the opportunity to support such outstanding students.
