As promised at the meeting, here are the details of make it with wool for this year. Contact Wendy Stumpf for the forms for the miww contest. I can't figure out how to add the forms

A reminder and encouragement to enter our state contest! The contest is in Harrisburg on October 3, but the registration deadline is September 2.

I have had questions about "what can I make" for this contest. The info is laid out in the brochure (attached) and also on the state registration form (also attached).

I am looking forward to hearing from you and your wool-loving friends. You will enjoy fellowship with fellow knitters, sewists, and crochet enthusiasts. Plus you will enjoy the program by Judy Gelzinis Donovan. It will be a fun and rewarding day. Great door prizes, great people, and two young people will earn a trip to the national contest.

Please let me know if you have any questions. And tell your friends, fellow guild members, and anyone else about this opportunity!

Subject: PA Make It With Wool contest information--how to enter, tentative schedule, and info about the contest

Dear wool enthusiast,

I hope that you are planning to enter the PA Make It With Wool contest this year. It is a great way for us to show our skills in knitting, crochet, and sewing--all while using wool and other animal fibers.

The attached MIWW information and registration pdf clearly lists the steps that you should follow to enter the contest. It would be great to be sewing/creating now! Get your fibers and fabrics tested for wool content now (info also included) so that you know you are eligible for the contest. The registration must be post-marked no later than September 2. Earlier is better!!!! You don't have to have the outfit finished to enter; you can sew/knit/crochet until the day of the contest, if you wish. (Not recommended, but it has been done.)

I am pleased to announce that our workshop presenter, during flat judging, will be Judy Gelzinis Donovan, a textile artist from Philadelphia. She will be doing a hands-on weaving demonstration with rigid heddle looms that the contestants will get to try, plus she is bringing some garments that she has created from her own hand-woven fabric. Her prize-winning work is noteworthy. We greatly appreciate Judy's support of our contest by donating her time and enthusiasm to the program!
Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to receiving your entries, meeting new contestants, and connecting with repeat contestants who know how much fun the contest is. Hope to hear from you soon!

Linda

Are you in need of a new project bag or just a general tote bag? If you are a member of the national guild, they will be having a KAL starting August 1. It looks like a fun knit and promotes the national guild. Something tells me you could use a piece of graph paper and on one side promote Lebanon Valley Knit2Gether Guild while promoting the national guild on the other side.
