Feast Day: August 22nd
This feast of the Virgin Mary was established in 1954 by Pope Pius XII, but its roots and celebration reach way back in Church history. St. Amadeus of Lausanne explained in a homily, “When the Virgin of virgins was led forth by God and her Son, the King of kings, amid the company of exulting angels and rejoicing archangels, with the heavens ringing with praise, the prophecy of the psalmist was fulfilled, in which he said to the Lord: At your right hand stands the queen, clothed in gold...”

HUGE thank you to Ryan Borgman at Borgman Athletics for his very generous donation to our school gym! New wall mats and updated safety features on our basketball hoops. The gym is ready for girls volleyball season! More updates to come!

Exciting updates are coming to the SFDS gym which serves not only the students but also parish members and the wider community! Kicked off the updates with a fresh coat of paint to brighten up the large space. Huge thanks to Tom Scott with Crown Painting for the fantastic job and Anslie DeFalco, The Woehrmyer Team - Coldwell Banker Realty for a generous donation! Stay tuned for more updates!

We had some SFDS students at the fair!

Congratulations to all of our SFDS students who participated in the Warren County Fair last week! Our students completed various 4-H projects — Photography basics, cake decorating, animal habitats, market hog, market lambs, showmanship, and more! Well done, Crusaders!
