Not only did these kids make their own balloons 🎈, but they also had to use some SERIOUS critical thinking skills to figure out what TWO ingredients were hiding inside the mystery mixture! 🧠🔍🧪

Kudos to one of my all-star girls who took one smell and immediately said, “For sure nail polish remover!” 💅🏻😝 She was RIGHT!

So thankful to watch her play the game she loves. 💙 I’ve learned never to take a healthy season for granted because you never know when it might be the last. Every game, every cheer, and every moment on the court is a gift.

Forever grateful for the incredible team at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Because of them, she gets to keep doing what she loves, and we never take that blessing for granted.

Last summer, so many students got the extra push they needed to start the school year with greater confidence, stronger skills, and new learning strategies.

Summer Bridge is designed to bridge the gap between the previous and upcoming grade level. My goal is to help students understand how the BIG IDEAS they learned last year connect to the BIG IDEAS they’ll be learning this year, so new concepts make sense instead of feeling overwhelming.

As an added bonus, enrollment includes a complimentary educational advocacy consultation. If you have concerns about your child’s progress and think they may need academic interventions, a 504 Plan, or an IEP, I’ll help you understand your options and guide you through the initial steps of the process.

Going to miss this family so much when they move in a few months. ❤️ No matter how many miles separate us, the love and friendship will always remain. So thankful for the memories we’ve made and the ones we’ll keep making whenever we’re together. 🫶🏼💯🎆

Thank you for the calls and text! The robbery was in the bank next to our office but we are all safe here at the office…honestly I’m probably the safest location in town at the moment!! Super grateful for my amazing security system at the office and the Lebanon Police Department 🩵

He may not love school — and that’s okay! What matters is that he now has the confidence, skills, and know-how to tackle his assignments independently. Watching kids realize “I can do this” will always be the best part. 🧠📈

This sweet family attended parent-teacher conferences in February at their school and immediately reached out to Learning with Floyd for an assessment. It was extremely difficult to look at a family I had met only 30 minutes earlier and tell them their son needed to be evaluated for special education services — but it was the right thing to do.

Within 5 days of meeting this student, we had an S-Team meeting scheduled, and by Spring Break he was being evaluated for speech services. He ultimately qualified, and we were able to develop an IEP to support his needs.

Although services won’t officially begin until next school year, we didn’t wait to start addressing the gaps. His family committed to the process from day one, stayed on the waitlist, and showed up every single time I had an opening for a session.

Early intervention matters. Sometimes the hardest conversations are the most important ones, and this is exactly why advocating early can completely change a child’s trajectory. I’m so proud of the progress he has already made and excited to see what happens next year with the proper supports in place. 🧠📈✨
