And The Song Played On..

A very special piano has been revealed at Green Hill High School - and it’s not just any piano. This particular piano withstood a direct hit from the March 2020 Tornado.

Over the past several months, a GHHS teacher has been inspired to turn this beautiful instrument into a symbol of continued Hope and Healing for our district, and our communities. The finished project unveiled today. Check it out! 🎹

As we close out this last day for students for the 2020-2021 school year, we want to recognize our Valedictorians & Salutatorians from all our high schools.

“When you take a look at the body of work from these students, it truly is quite remarkable for what they’ve accomplished while enduring the circumstances they’ve had throughout parts of their junior and senior years,” said Director of Schools, Dr. Donna Wright. “They are resilient, they are strong and they are very special. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these very bright students.”

🚨 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ALERT🚨

Everyone will be getting official notifications shortly about our current school year coming to an end... a little sooner than expected? 👀⬇️

05/19/2021

It was a special day as we paid tribute to a wonderful man who was part of Wilson County Schools for many years.

Tom Waller served as the longtime Technology Supervisor for the district. Unfortunately, Mr. Waller’s sudden passing last year near the start of our current school year was difficult for many, especially those who knew him well.

Today, in a special ceremony, Mr. Waller was honored by having our Operations Building at 308 West High St. in Lebanon officially named after him.

He was a dedicated employee, with a difficult position, but he handled everything so well. It was known as “Tom’s Way!” Through any challenge he faced, his face had a smile. He loved our district and our students.

This one’s for Tom. ♥️
