Marion County Public Schools will host kindergarten registration Friday, February 6 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm at each of the district’s four elementary schools.
Parents of children who plan to enroll in MCPS kindergarten are asked to bring their child to the registration event along with their child’s birth certificate, immunization records, physical exam, dental exam, eye exam and proof of residency (for example, a utility bill). No appointment is necessary.
The event will include a kindergarten-readiness screening of the students.
Kindergarten is open for children who will be five years old on or before August 1, 2026.
Parents should attend registration at the school where their child will enroll. If parents are unsure which elementary school their child will attend, they can contact MCPS Director of Early Childhood Education Amy Willis by phone at the MCPS central office at (270) 692-3721 or by email at [email protected].
