FYI….. there is a law in Indiana that requires left lane clingers to move over. See below…..😁

IC 9-21-5-9: Drivers traveling on highways with at least two lanes and traveling slower than the speed limit must use the right lanes. Drivers in the left lane must yield to other vehicles attempting to pass them. Failure to do so is a Class C infraction and a traffic violation, punishable by a fine of up to $500.

Happy New Year!!!! Thought I would start the New Year by introducing myself and giving some info on what we offer.

I’m Robin, owner of Lebanon Driver Education dba RoadStar Driving School. I have owned/been a driving instructor for 21 years. I’m married to a retired Indiana State Police officer, mom of three boys (OK men), MIL to three wonderful women and Memaw to five perfect grands!

LDE is certified by the Indiana BMV to provide driver education. The instructors are certified as well and undergo federal background checks every two years, as well as physical exams.

I offer driver education to Indiana teens age 15 and above. Our program consists of online classes (independent study) with six 1-hour private driving lessons. The cost of the complete program is $380 (this is our most popular package).

I also offer six 1-hour driving lessons to those that have completed an online program independently. Before being able to get the permit, the student must be complete with that online program and the completion certificate submitted to me. The cost of this program is $350.

The driving skills exam is also offered to those students that qualify. To qualify a student must complete the program and have an 80% or better grade in classwork AND drives. There is a fee, however, I do provide the vehicle.

It’s that time of year peeps! Watch for the tractors/farmers on the roads - could be county roads or state roads - heck maybe in town. Please be aware, patient and respectful! Pay particular attention to the pic re how quickly you come upon them!!!

School starts in 2 weeks - where did summer go - and that means school buses - which means kiddos! As a former bus driver (many moons ago) it is terrifying when cars run the stop arm! Please be aware and when you see those red lights come on and stop arm engaged STOP YOUR CAR…unless you are on a road that is divided by a median that is not meant for vehicular travel and you are traveling in the opposite direction! Traveling same direction as the bus STOP!

Fun fact - it is a crime in the State of Indiana: A person who operates a vehicle and who recklessly passes a school bus stopped on a roadway or a private road when the arm signal device specified in IC 9-21-12-13 is in the device's extended position commits a Class A misdemeanor.
