School: Lyman Memorial
Highlights: in his 38th year coaching at the high school level, Gomez led the Bulldogs to the Class S state championship with a 3-0 victory over Hale Ray. "When you're a high school coach and are around a lot of good kids and put a lot of time into what you are doing, you want a taste of what this is all about. After 38 years of coaching, this tastes really good" Gomez said after the victory. Lyman Memorial lost only one match all season and dominated conference opponents on the way to winning ECC Division III regular season and tournament titles.
