Hamilton Creek and Lacomb families are invited to apply for FREE Preschool at Lacomb School!

Priority enrollment is given to:
• Low-income families
• Children ages 3 and 4
• Families living within the Lacomb/Hamilton Creek school boundaries

Everyone is encouraged to apply!

Last month, Lacomb sixth-graders spent a week at Outdoor School, and what a week they had! Students spent their days exploring the outdoors while diving into hands-on learning -- engaging in interactive lessons that brought science to life. The week was filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of time to connect with classmates in a whole new environment. A big thank you to the staff and parent volunteers who helped make this opportunity possible for our students!

Fourth-grade students in Cathy Avilez's class are building confidence and fluency through Readers Theater! Earlier this week, students worked in groups to read a play in front of their classmates, practicing public speaking and teamwork along the way. Great job to all of our young readers!

We hope our students and families enjoy the winter break, and we will see students back in the classroom on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.

A little holiday magic was waiting in Amber LeBard’s kindergarten classroom this morning. ✨ Pine cone trees that students decorated this week lit up each table and brought big smiles to little faces. Thank you to Mrs. LeBard for adding the lights to the pine cone trees and for making the holidays feel extra special at Lacomb School.

A huge thank you to all our parents, students, staff, and community members who helped make last week’s Winter Concert a success! Our gym was filled to the brim, and the energy, support, and holiday spirit were incredible. We are so proud of our students — they worked hard and truly shined on stage.

And thank you, families, for showing up in full force to cheer them on. 🎶

Our students brought the Middle Ages to life! 🏰Their student-built castles are on display in the library, and they turned out incredible! Kudos to these fourth-graders and their creativity on this project.

📚 Book Fair in the Library

Lacomb School PTC’s 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off is happening at the Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 22nd and we’re looking for contestants!
✅ $3.00 fee for tasting or judging or donate to food or toy drive to enter
✅ Bring your best crockpot of chili - Hot and ready by 2:15 to the school.
✅ Community taste-test voting
✅ Prizes + bragging rights announced at 4:30 PM
Last year was such a blast, and we can’t wait to see who will be crowned this year’s Chili Champion! 🌶️
