September's School of Music

Here it is folks! This is Calli's October song that she worked on for over 80 hours! There is so much effort that went into this beautiful piece! And she wrote it all out on manuscript paper by hand! (She told me that she had hand cramps by the time she was done!) Enjoy!

Congratulations to Zeke for completing all of his scale mastery!!

This little guy, Quinn, wrote and practiced so hard to be able to play the notes he composed. (I helped out just on the middle part.) He learned about musical form, C minor scales, and melodies this month!

This is an original song by Alice. I'm so impressed with the LH accompaniment that she gave to it! Way to go!!

Camila composed this song for our Ictober Song writing challenge, pulling from other pieces you might recognize. She started with a scale, and could hear the pieces within it and compiled them in her own unique way. After all, all music pulls from other songs in one way or another. She always impresses me with her ability to "pick out" a song from just a few notes!

Eloise wrote "Madams" an original melody for our song writing challenge this month! We are focusing on scales, melody, and musical form. Very proud of her!

We had lots of Halloween fun in the studio this week! We dressed up, we passed off "Mountain" challenges, recorded our October songs, and developed our musicality all while having a blast!
