Upper Valley Educators Institute

Upper Valley Educators Institute Great teachers and leaders are the heart of great schools. UVEI also offers its own competency-based Masters Programs in education and school leadership.

UVEI partners with school communities to engage, inspire, and challenge educators, developing their ability to make classrooms and schools places where all people belong and thrive. For over 50 years, the Upper Valley Educators Institute has been a national leader in preparing adults for careers as teachers and school leaders. The UVEI alternative teacher certification model differs from a traditi

onal school of education program by reversing the percentage of time traditionally allotted to academic theory and actual practice. A focus on outcomes and the achievement of competencies - what an educator must know and be able to do - is at the heart of the UVEI approach.

As the school year begins across a large portion of New Hampshire and Vermont, we want to extend our best wishes to educators, students, families, and community members. We look forward to visiting schools across the two states this year, and in the meantime, here are some more of our own UVEI "back to school photos" from teacher orientation week and from our annual Innovations in Education Forum.

On this Giving Tuesday, know that the support of UVEI donors helps to LOWER THE BARRIERS for aspiring teachers and school leaders, making it possible for them to enter the profession and advance their careers. Because of our size, we see every dollar’s impact immediately, and funding for one aspiring educator can support hundreds of children for years to come. Your generous support will help 38 aspiring educators and school leaders make a lasting impact on more than 1500 students this spring and every single year that follows. And your gift will continue to make a difference for students as long as those educators remain in the field. Donate today or any day at https://givebutter.com/UVEIscholarships
