Stepping away from the Bearcat family after five incredible years fills my heart with so much gratitude but is so bittersweet. Being a part of this team has brought me endless joy. I am so lucky to have had the opportunities of traveling to new places, watching our players grow into strong individuals, and sharing in both the hardships and the triumphs. I’ll never forget the moments that made me the proudest: watching someone accomplish something they once thought they couldn’t, seeing months of hard work finally click, celebrating milestones both big and small, and witnessing our student-athletes grow not just as volleyball players, but as people. Those moments, along with the mini bus ride to Loyola, my Hawaii parking struggles, tea time, and the countless Dutch Bros and 7 Brew runs, are memories I’ll cherish forever.

To every player who trusted me, challenged me, and allowed me to be a small part of your journey, thank you. Thank you to every coach, staff member, alumnus, supporter, and person who helped shape this program into something so special.

And to Nickie Sanlin, thank you for taking a chance on me and believing in me from the very beginning. Your mentorship, trust, and friendship have impacted me in more ways than I can express.

I’ll always be a Bearcat at heart. This chapter may be closing, but the memories, relationships, and lessons from the last five years will stay with me forever. If you read this far, just know mckvolley will always have my heart 💜
