Singing can be a powerful tool in the rehabilitation of speech! Led by Allison Pollard, a board-certified music therapist, The Aphasia Choir of the Upper Valley is a singing ensemble for individuals who experience speech loss due to stroke or TBI, along with their caregivers.

Offered in partnership with Dartmouth Health as part of UVMC's growing music therapy program, the Aphasia Choir will meet on Thursdays from 1-2:15 pm this fall at the DH Aging Resource Center in Lebanon.

Come out and contra dance for a great cause! Join us on Saturday, August 22 at Tracy Hall in Norwich, from 7:30-10:30 pm. The evening will feature an all-star line up of callers, including David Millstone, Nils Fredland, Kevin Donohue, and Erin Smith, and musicians Amy Englesberg, Annie McDougall, and Rose Powell.

Admission is by donation, and all proceeds benefit tuition assistance to support access to music making! 🎻 🎶

Check out the schedule of workshops happening on Sunday during the Colburn Park Trad Music Festival 🎻 🪗

Sunday participants can pick and choose their path, dropping into multiple sessions or focusing on one area - from learning how to make a "crankie" to preparing to play in the open band!

Sunday will conclude with a community dance, starting at 3 pm in Colburn Park 💃

What have we been up to at UVMC this summer? 🌞 🎶

🐢 🎭 We're having tons of musical fun singing and dancing during Rhythm Kids Camp, Singing for the Stage Camp, and other camps all summer long!
🎸 🎤 Guitar and voice students dazzled friends and family members in a very special recital last month
🇺🇸 🎻 We celebrated America's 250th birthday with song and dance - big shoutout to the Children's Chorus and the enthusiastic crowd of contra dancers for braving the heat wave 😎
🏡 🏗 And last but not least, construction on UVMC's historic home is coming along! We can't wait for you to start learning in our new spaces this fall :)
