The Cedars Preparatory Academy

Cedars Prep and Owl’s Nest will operate from 8:00-4:00 tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, for 261 students. We will close at 4:00 P.M.

There will be no extended care available after 4:00 P.M.

Cedars Prep and Owl’s Nest will be closed Monday and Tuesday, January 26 and 27, due to inclement weather. There will be no extended care available.

Our elementary students have been having a lot of fun in Ms. Betsy’s STEM class. This last few months we have learned about predicting the weather with nature and played with snow.

When our STEM classes cut open persimmon seeds, they saw a spoon shape in the seed. This is typically indicative of a heavy snow, hard winter.

They also used woolly bear caterpillars to make predictions. The were mostly solid black which could also indicate a hash winter.

We are excited to see if our weather predictions come true.

DATE CHANGE!

Our CPA ART Show will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 17. This does not mean the school days have been canceled but we want to prepare ahead of time in anticipation of this weather event.

A posting about school closures, if they arise, will come as the weather settles in this weekend.

Our very own, Ms. Alison, was awarded International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Vocalist of the Year. We are proud of her and lucky that she shares her musical talents here at Cedars Prep.

Ms. Alison teaches our preschool music classes and helps direct our spring musical.

Cedars Prep will open at 10:00 A.M. There will be no morning extended care.

Thursday, April 3 will be a non academic day and care is available for all 261 students.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open from 7:00-10:00 this morning if you would like to shop with your child! We will close the Spring book fair at 10:00. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
